Business Card Designer
This web site was created for a client, who sells promotional items to people who sell MonaVie, a health drink made using Brazilian açai berries. One of the items they sell is business cards. Once a user purchases some business cards, they are sent a link to the business card designer. The business card designer then allows the user to choose from a variety of designs and preview their information as it will look on the printed card. Features of the site include:
- Multiple business card designs
- Customizable user attributes of business cards
- Links in with osCommerce to check user has made a valid order before sending for printing
- Previews of business cards from user-inputted data using GD Library
- Conversion of generated card designs to large scale print-ready TIFFs using ImageMagick
The most challenging part of this site was learning how to interact with images using the GD Library and ImageMagick which was an interesting subject to study.
